Role Description:

To support the operations team and deliver an optimum customer experience for the Arena’s 1.6m annual visitors. Working with the Head of Venue Operations and Operations Director in delivering an operations plan that creates a  safe, efficient, and attractive venue that goes beyond compliance regulations regardless of purpose – sport, business, or entertainment.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To develop, implement and maintain match day procedures in conjunction with the Head of Venue Operations & Event Safety Officer
  • Prepare all match day documentation, including the match day brief along and circulate to relevant departments
  • Key liaison for broadcast and media for all events, in terms of technical and logistical liaison
  • Liaising with marketing and partnership departments to ensure activation areas are allocated on Wasps/CCFC match days
  • Support the Head of Venue Operations with the operational liaison for CCFC Match days ensuring that the venue is ready for each football match
  • Review and implement operational procedures along with the Event Safety Officer to improve clients and customer experiences across all types of events
  • To support the Head of Venue Operations on non-matchday major events both operationally and administratively
  • Improve day to day operation of the building
  • Improve coordination with other departments on site in delivery of events/match days and have a better oversite of what is happening within the building and protecting the asset
  • Support the Head of Venue Operations & Event Safety Officer to ensure the company’s health and safety policy is implemented consistently across the Arena including all tenant areas
  • Responding to pitch enquires on behalf of the Head of Venue Operations
  • Manage the stadium bowl diary
  • To attend any meetings, training sessions, and courses that may be beneficial to you or your colleagues as required by the Head of Operations 

 

Required skills and experience:

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills in relation to the ownership of key relationships with external contractors, regulatory bodies, customers, promoters, and professional advisers
  • Excellent and high standard of teamwork
  • Able to work on own initiative and provide solutions to problems that arise
  • Ability to work within a busy office environment.
  • Ability to work across multiple events and projects

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience of operational experience
  • Previous operational knowledge of managing a large, multi-purpose venue - Essential
  • Experience of stadium sports events, concert delivery, and exhibitions  - Ideal but not essential 
  • Experience of work with essential stadium legislation e.g safety certificate
  • Knowledge of how to execute operational plans as part of a team
  • Project management experience - Desirable
  • Hold an IOSH qualification - Essential
  • Hold a NEBOSH qualification - Desirable

Hours of work

This is a full-time role of 35 hours per week working 5 out of 7 days with an unpaid one-hour lunch break. The flexibility to work outside normal office hours and cover event days both match and non-match days where required which will include weekends and public holidays.
